Police in Kansas City are set to provide a second update after a shooting during the Chiefs Super Bowl parade earlier in the day that killed at least one person.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said that one person is dead and up to 15 were injured, and that investigations were ongoing. Graves added that two people have been taken into custody.

“This is not Kansas City. I'm angered by what happened,” Graves said. “Because of two bad actors — or more — is why we're standing here today. We will recover as a city. My heart goes out to our victim who is deceased.”

Separately, Kansas City Chiefs trainer Rick Burkholder said the team was on buses returning to Arrowhead Stadium when a shooting occurred at the end of the Super Bowl championship parade
