1. China and the United States agreed to stabilize their intense rivalry so it does not veer into conflict, but failed to produce any major breakthrough during a rare visit to Beijing by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
2. U.S. and Canadian ships and planes searched for a submarine that went missing more than a day earlier off the coast of southeastern Canada while taking tourists to explore the wreckage of the Titanic, officials said.
3. A U.S. judge in Florida ordered defense lawyers for former President Donald Trump not to release evidence in the classified documents case to the media or the public, according to a court filing.
4. Russia attacked military and infrastructure targets across Ukraine early, including in the capital Kyiv and the western city of Lviv, Ukrainian officials said.
5. At least one person died and about two dozen people were injured overnight after a tornado hit central Mississippi, health authorities said.
