1. U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci had a heated exchange during a Senate hearing with Republican U.S. Senator Rand Paul, in which he accused Fauci of lying about the National Institutes of Health providing funding for research at China's Wuhan Institute of Virology.

2. White House press secretary Jen Psaki says she is in regular contact with the conservative news network Fox News about its coverage of the COVID-19 vaccine. The White House understands "the importance of reaching Fox's audience about the COVID-19 vaccines and their benefits," Psaki said.
