Along with a new U.S. president and first family, January will also see dogs return to the White House.

After President-elect Joe Biden is inaugurated in the new year, he and his wife Dr. Jill Biden will move into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., along with their two German Shepherds, Champ and Major.

According to an NBC report, Major will be the first rescue dog in the White House.
