Jeff Bezos steps down Monday as the CEO of Amazon-dot-com.
Bezos formed the company in his garage, and it began life as an online marketplace for books.
But since then, it has expanded into everything from global computer networking to healthcare to space travel, and Bezos has become the world's richest man.
Jeff Bezos will remain influential at Amazon after he steps down as CEO, becoming the company's Executive Chair – reportedly focused on which areas Amazon will move into next.
