The body found by rescue workers in Tenerife has been confirmed as British teenager Jay Slater, officials say. A Spanish court said fingerprint tests showed the body is of the 19-year old who disappeared on 17 June.

It added his death was caused by “trauma consistent with a fall in a rocky area”
