The Israel Defence Forces confirmed three hostages were killed by its soldiers after being mistakenly identified as a threat.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the hostage deaths had broken his heart however anger is mounting over those still being held captive as Sky's Alex Rossi explains.
