Family members of 65-year-old Yehudit Weiss, whose body had been retrieved from Gaza by Israeli troops, mourned her loss on Friday, saying her death could have been avoided if "someone had really cared" about the hostages held by Hamas.

Meanwhile, a march calling for the release of all hostages held by Hamas Gaza proceeded on Friday towards Jerusalem, with thousands of relatives, friends and supporters of the cause participating.

Friday marked 42 days since about 240 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped from Israel into Gaza during the Oct.7 Hamas attack.
