During the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine from about 10 May, a female nurse of Indian origin in Israel, Soumya Santosh, was killed in a rocket attack fired from the Gaza Strip. After which Israel has decided to posthumously grant honorary citizenship to Soumya.

करीब 10 मई से जारी इजरायल व फिलिस्तीन के बीच युद्ध के दौरान, गजा पट्टी से दागे गए रॉकेट हमले में इजरायल में रहने वाली भारतीय मूल की महिला नर्स सौम्या संतोष की मौत हो गई थी। जिसके बाद इजरायल ने सौम्या को मरणोपरांत मानद नागरिकता देने का फैसला किया है।
