Mark Regev, senior adviser to Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has told Sky News that "Israel is mobilised, watching and ready - and if [Hezbollah] is crazy enough to start a war, we are ready to respond."

The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah has warned of a possible escalation as his militia engages in cross-border fighting with Israel.
