Thousands rallied in Tel Aviv on Saturday night, calling for the release of hostages held in Gaza, two months after they were taken captive from Israel by Hamas militants. The parents of 19-year-old hostage Itai Chen addressed the crowd, calling for the Red Cross to visit their son and for the Israeli government to "show leadership."

Plus, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that he appreciated the United State's veto at the United Nation (UN) Security Council, blocking a demand for a ceasefire in Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza.

"I greatly appreciate the correct stance that the U.S. has taken in the UN Security Council," Netanyahu said. "Other countries must also understand that it's impossible to support the elimination of Hamas on one side, and on the other to call for the end of the war, which will prevent the elimination of Hamas."

Around 100 hostages were released by the Islamist militant group that rules Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails under a seven-day truce that ended Dec. 1.
