While Elon definitely has a case that the number of bot accounts may be false, he also could’ve done much more in-depth research on the company before bidding in order to avoid the impending messy legal situation. The Tesla chief executive’s tweet comes a day after he said he might try to negotiate a lower price and accused Twitter of potentially misleading him about the number of bots on the platform — a clear signal he was seeking an exit.
