Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps unveiled an underground missile base in an undisclosed location on the Persian Gulf, sending out footage via state media.
The exact location is undisclosed (for obvious reasons).
Major General Hossein Salami said ‘what you see today is one of several IRGC Naval strategic missile facilities.’
The unveiling comes at the perfect time to welcome incoming US President Joe Biden. Biden insists he wants to reinstate the landmark nuclear deal with Iran that Trump pulled out of in 2018, but tensions are likely to continue nonetheless. Last week, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Tehran was in no rush to rejoin the nuclear deal and insisted US sanctions should be lifted first.
