British-Iranian comedian Shaparak Khorsandi says that "this is the generation for change" in Iran, and that she never dreamed of seeing such protests within her own lifetime.

Formerly known as Shappy, Khorsandi's family escaped Iran after the revolution in 1979 before claiming asylum in the United Kingdom.

Protests have been taking place across the country over the past month following the death of Mahsa Amini, who was detained by the country's morality police due to her clothing.
