Anti-government demonstrations continue to spread to universities and high schools across Iran. Now, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi has called for national unity in the face of ongoing protests in the country. Raisi blamed the unrest on the US and Israel - echoing comments by Iran's supreme leader.

The protests began after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, following her arrest for allegedly violating the Islamic Republic's strict dress code. They have evolved into the most widespread challenge to Iran's leadership in years.

Meanwhile, here in Europe people are also taking to the streets to show their support for the protesters in Iran.
