An inquiry has found mass sexual abuse and grooming of over a thousand children in Telford was not tackled, due to nervousness around race.

More than a thousand young girls were targeted by gangs of mainly Asian men, similar to events in Rotherham and Rochdale.

There was a reluctance by police and the authorities to tackle the abuse due to a perceived fear of being accused of being racist.
