Clive Smith, chair of trustees for The Haemophilia Society, says the Infected Blood Inquiry's final report has "shone a light on one of the darkest chapters of this nation's history".

However, the people who died "will never receive justice but that's why today is such a bittersweet moment for the community", he added.

The infected blood scandal was "not an accident" - and its failures lie with "successive governments, the NHS, and blood services", a public inquiry has found.
