India is one of the world’s biggest polluters, burning vast amounts of coal to generate electricity.
But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to cut emissions to net zero by 2070.
The government is investing in renewable energy sources, especially solar power, with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy saying India has more than 60,000MW of solar capacity.
