India's Mega Entrance Exam For Colleges Begins

The first phase of CUET or the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate admissions to central universities, began on Friday amidst mega confusion. Nearly 15 lakh candidates are appearing for this exam in two phases. The exam will transform the way undergraduate admissions are conducted in the country, especially at popular central universities like Delhi University. However, 'No retest will be held for those who missed Friday's exam' - this was categorically announced by Mr Jagadesh Kumar, chairman of the University Grants Commission on Friday.
