India Completes 1st Week Of Covid Vaccination Drive

After a sluggish start India's nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive seems to be picking up. Nearly 15 lakh healthcare workers have received the vaccination in India so far. 3.47 lakh people were vaccinated on the seventh day of the immunisation drive on Friday, the highest daily vaccinations so far. On Saturday Delhi vaccinated 75 per cent of its intended beneficiaries for the day. There are 81 vaccination sites in Delhi and the state's daily target of beneficiaries is 8,100. Today 6,111 beneficiaries were vaccinated at these sites. There was 100 per cent vaccination in four big hospitals of Delhi government. 100 beneficiaries were vaccinated at each of these sites- LNJP, Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, GTB Hospital and Delhi State Cancer Institute.
