The Indian government is building the last of four major tunnels in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Officials say this, one of Asia’s longest tunnels, will be the country's longest.
The tunnels are intended to connect areas that are usually cut off during the winter snows and come as part of India’s effort to beef up development near its border with China.
But as Al Jazeera's Pavni Mittal reports from New Delhi, India, the project has proven to be controversial.
