साल 1992 ही financial sector में देश के सबसे बड़े घोटाले का चश्मदीद बना. जिसने 90 के दशक में वित्तीय बाज़ार को हिला कर रख दिया. ये घोटाला करीब 4000 करोड़ रुपये का था. इस घोटाले का जिम्मेदार था हर्षद मेहता. मेहता का नाम वित्तीय जगत में ऐसा उछला कि 2020 में उसकी ज़िंदगी पर पूरी वेब सीरीज़ बन गई जो काफी पॉपुलर हुई. इसके बाद ही शेयर मार्केट में गड़बड़ी रोकने के लिए SEBI यानी Securities and Exchange Board of India का गठन हुआ.

The year 1992 itself became an eyewitness to the biggest scam of the country in the financial sector. Which shook the financial market in the 90s. This scam was about Rs 4000 crore. Harshad Mehta was responsible for this scam. Mehta's name soared in the financial world that in 2020 a complete web series on his life was made which became quite popular. Only after this SEBI i.e. Securities and Exchange Board of India was formed to prevent disturbances in the stock market.
