Conservative MP Andrea Leadsom says she was "opposed" to HS2 "right from the start".

"With every change of PM, I have argued strongly we should scrap HS2," she told Sophy Ridge.

"In my view, it has always been a bad project."

She added that the project has made a beautiful part of the countryside look like an industrial site.
