In the U.S., Hurricane Ian has been downgraded in terms of its intensity, but the death toll is rising there as it makes its way across the Carolinas.

The search for survivors now intensifies among the ruins of Florida’s flooded homes.

At least 30 people were confirmed dead, including 27 people in Florida - most of those from drowning, but others from the storm’s tragic impacts.

Officials are assessing the damage of what’s being called one of the strongest and costliest hurricanes to hit the U.S.

As Jennifer Johnson reports, it’s now pushing further north.
