Migrants in a southern Mexican border town are facing appalling conditions and abuse as they are prevented from leaving Tapachula, according to rights groups.
Asylum seekers mostly from Haiti and Central America have flooded the town of Tapachula in Chiapas state but cannot leave due to a national policy that stops them from heading north to the United States, say migrant advocates.
Al Jazeera's Manuel Rapalo reports from Tapachula, Mexico.
