Finland has become NATO's 31st member. The country’s president described the occasion as historic and NATO's secretary general said the enlargement shows Russia's attempts to weaken the alliance have backfired.

DW correspondent Teri Schultz met Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Havisto at NATO headquarters to find out how Finland will change – and how Finland may change NATO.
