Technology is being used to bank the voices of people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), so it can be reproduced digitally if they lose it.

The degenerative condition, which gradually takes away movement, can take away someone’s use of their voice.

Interactive storybook I Will Always Be Me has been developed by Intel and Dell to convey the effects of MND, written in the first person.

Intel Human and AI Research lab director Lama Nachman said: “For someone who has been diagnosed with this every minute counts.”

This film is from Click – the BBC’s weekly technology show.
