DW News has confirmed that Belgian authorities have arrested MEP Marc Tarabella in connection with the Qatargate scandal.
The European Parliament voted to waive Tarabella’s immunity last week. He had already been kicked out of his socialist party in the European Parliament. The Qatar corruption scandal erupted over allegations that members of the European Parliament, lobbyists and their families had been influenced by Qatari officials.
