Yet more proof that Vikings were the first Europeans to cross the Atlantic has been unveiled, as a group of scientists analyzing a piece of wood that’s part of the first-known evidence of Norse presence in America have found some that was chopped around 1021 – that's half a millennium prior to Columbus.
