Hezbollah launches rockets into northern Israel, as fighting escalates

Tensions between Hezbollah and Israel have escalated, resulting in casualties and damage in northern Israel on Wednesday. Israel launched deadly strikes on a village in southern Lebanon a day earlier, prompting a retaliatory attack by Hezbollah on a town near the Lebanese border.

Dozens of rockets were launched by the militant group, causing significant damage to the area.

"If I had returned here to Kiryat Shmona, yesterday... there are six funerals today. Six, not one. And it's very sad," resident Omri Luzia said.

Residents and security services cordoned off a building damaged in the attack, and Israeli emergency services said they pulled one man out from the wreckage to a factory with severe wounds, and that he was pronounced dead on the scene.
