North Korean state media has claimed, a spy satellite launched last week has photographed the White House, Pentagon and a US naval base.
After two failed launches, Pyongyang finally succeeded in putting its first surveillance satellite into orbit last Tuesday, though claims that its capable of transmitting images have not been independently verified.
Japan, South Korea and Western nations including the US say the launch violated UN Security Council resolutions. North Korea have rejected the accusations at the UN.
