Health Secretary Matt Hancock has announced a new plan for the provision of NHS care in England.

Elements of competition introduced in previous reforms are to be wound back and more control given directly the ministers.

Labour criticised the previous reforms of as 'a decade of wasted opportunity', which the shadow minister Jonathan Ashworth said the Health Secretary had voted for.

Mr Ashworth also questioned the timing of substantial reforms in the middle of a 'crisis'.
