The brother of a chemist in Maharashtra whose throat was slit last month, a week before a similar killing in Udaipur, over supporting suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's comment on Prophet Mohammad, told NDTV the family did not realise the gravity of the threat the chemist faced. "My brother was a very polite man. Who would want to kill him? We want to know why he was killed. We have not been able to understand it," said Mahesh, the brother of Umesh Kolhe, 54. The family is devastated with the loss.
