Hamas fires rockets into Israel as tensions escalate

Rockets have been fired at the city of Jerusalem for the first time since 2014.

Hamas has already claimed responsibility for the attack, which led to warning sirens sounding across the city.

The parliament building in Jerusalem was also evacuated.

Furthermore, Israeli armed forces claim an anti-tank missile was shot from Gaza towards Israel.

There have been no reported injuries so far.

This latest attack comes amid ongoing violent clashes in Jerusalem, as the city marked this year’s ‘Jerusalem Day’.
