Leaders of Hamas and Fatah are meeting in Algeria for two days of reconciliation talks.
Hamas took control of Gaza after defeating political rivals Fatah in 2006 elections.
Fatah refused to recognise results of 2006 election and armed conflict erupted in Gaza.
Palestinian leadership has been divided between Gaza and the occupied West Bank since 2007.
