Hajj operation in Pakistan started today from Karachi, the first Hajj flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) PK 773 departed from Karachi carrying 330 pilgrims to Madinah.


A simple but dignified ceremony was held to see off the Hajj pilgrims, in which special prayers were requested from the pilgrims for the security and development of Pakistan.

Chief Operating Officer PIA Amanullah Qureshi, Director General Benazir Income Support Program Imtiaz Shah, Director Hajj Karachi Sajjad Haider, Civil Aviation Authority and PIA officials saw off the pilgrims.

About 700 pilgrims will be flown to Saudi Arabia through the inaugural flights from Karachi, Islamabad and Faisalabad on the first day of the Hajj operation.
