Guatemalan presidential candidate Bernardo Arevalo has launched his campaign for a run-off ballot in August.
A federal prosecutor had earlier announced a ban on Arevalo’s Semilla party for suspected violations of election law.
The electoral commission says the vote will go ahead as planned. There are concerns that some ongoing investigations could disrupt the campaign.
