Guatemalan security forces have forcibly turned back thousands of Central American migrants, mainly from Honduras. who are trying to reach the United States.
Their move comes as US President-elect Joe Biden has said he will adopt a more humane approach than his outgoing predecessor Donald Trump.
The migrants say that they are fleeing lawlessness and chronic unemployment.
