A group of brave civilians came to the rescue after a car was seen swerving off a highway outside of Toronto, and catching on fire.

The four bystanders who saw this happen immediately sprung to action, eventually pulling the driver from his car.

All four have now been nominated for the Fire Chief Commendation Award, a nomination that Ontario's Mississauga Fire Chief Deryn Rizzi said she supports.
