Government to appeal ruling that found Emergencies Act use 'unreasonable' | Power & Politics

The federal government plans to appeal a Federal Court decision that found the invocation of the Emergencies Act against convoy protesters in Ottawa unreasonable and contravened Charter rights. Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne says he believes the government did 'the right thing for the country,' which is why they plan to appeal the decision.
