2005 में केंद्र सरकार ने राज्यसभा को जानकारी दी थी। दंगों में 254 हिंदू, 790 मुसलमानों की जान चली गई थी और कुल 223 लोग लापता बताए गए। जबकि हजारों लोग बेघर हो गए थे। गुजरात सरकार ने जस्टिस जी टी नानावटी और जस्टिस केजी शाह के आयोग से पूरी जांच करवाई। इस केस में विशेष अदालत ने कुल 31 लोगों को दोषी करार दिया था, और 63 अन्य को बरी कर दिया था. विशेष अदालत ने गोधरा कांड में 31 दोषियों में से 11 को फांसी और 20 को उम्रकैद की सज़ा सुनाई थी। अब गोधरा पर फिल्म आई है जिसका शीर्षक है गोधरा Accident or conspiracy आज Zee News स्टूडियो में इसी फिल्म की स्टार कास्ट के साथ साथ 2 हिंदू धर्म गुरु और 2 मौलाना भी मौजूद हैं। जिनसे हम पूछेंगे कि आखिर वो क्या सोचते हैं गोधरा को लेकर क्या गोधरा में जो मारे गए उन्हें न्याय मिला, क्या गोधरा पर सिर्फ राजनीति हुई, क्या दंगों में मारे गए परिवारों को उनका हक मिला। ऐसे बहुत सारे सवालों के साथ अगले आधे घंटे में इसी पर बड़ी बहस होगी।

In this case, the special court had convicted a total of 31 people and acquitted 63 others. The special court had sentenced 11 out of 31 accused in the Godhra incident to death and 20 to life imprisonment. Now a film has been released on Godhra, titled Godhra Accident or Conspiracy. Today, along with the star cast of this film, 2 Hindu religious gurus and 2 Maulanas are also present in Zee News studio. We will ask them what they think about Godhra, did those who died in Godhra get justice, was there only politics on Godhra, did the families of those killed in the riots get their rights.
