Some Canadian tourists in Mexico's Sinaloa state are returning home after a wave of violence erupted this week, shutting airports and prompting an advisory to shelter in place. Two airports in the region have reopened with flights back to Canada scheduled on Saturday, but Canadians are still being advised to avoid travel to the region if possible. Farah Nasser has more.

Saskatchewan's chief coroner has denied a family’s request for an inquest into the death of Shayne Turner, who died of an overdose in 2021, shortly after being discharged from the hospital.
