Confusion and frustration are growing over Canada's new pandemic travel rules amid the emergence of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus. Once again, many Canadians are being forced to reconsider or change their travel plans – but what do they need to know? Jeff Semple explains.

Omicron variant cases are beginning to pop up across the country and in the Greater Toronto Area, including a confirmed case in Hamilton, Ont. Brittany Rosen tells us what doctors are recommending as the appropriate response.

Plus, the manhunt for the parents of a 15-year-old Michigan school shooting suspect ended early Saturday morning. Jennifer and James Crumbley were caught by police hiding in a Detroit commercial building after being indicted for four counts of involuntary manslaughter. As Jennifer Johnson reports, police say they're looking at who may have helped the fugitive parents hide.

Turning to British Columbia’s disastrous flooding situation: The mayor of flood-ravaged Abbotsford, B.C. says he can see the light at the end of the tunnel of the ongoing flooding catastrophe. Some residents displaced by three record-breaking storms are finally getting back into their homes — or what's left of them. As Mike Drolet reports, the floodwaters may be receding, but the problems left behind appear to be multiplying.

And American entertainer Josephine Baker spent much of her career in Europe and during World War II - but her performances were a cover for her work as a spy. This week, Baker was awarded a rare honour, which is typically reserved for French national heroes. Crystal Goomansingh explains how she became the first Black woman inducted into France's Pantheon.
