In tonight's top story: Data from Statistics Canada shows that Canada's unemployment rate rose in July for the third consecutive month, ticking up slightly to 5.5 per cent — a 0.1 increase over the previous month. A Russian court has added 19 more years to the jail term that Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny is already serving, convicting the opposition activist of extremism on Friday. As Mike Armstrong reports, Navalny is calling on Russians not to lose the will to resist the government.
