Plans to build a united European air defense network are now one step closer to becoming reality. Defense ministers from Germany, Latvia, and Estonia met in Bavaria to visit the German manufacturer of the Iris-T air defense system. There, Latvia and Estonia signed an agreement to purchase the weapons, which are already in use protecting the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. 19 countries have already joined the so-called 'European Sky Shield Initiative'
