Germany's government is reportedly open to sending German-made Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. That's according to information obtained by the magazine "Der Spiegel." The Defense Ministry is reportedly in talks with the armanents industry over the feasibility of sending stocks.
Taurus is an air-to-ground cruise missile with a range of about 500 kilometres. It's designed for high-precision strikes against highly protected targets. Kyiv has been requesting deliveries of Taurus missiles for months to aid its counteroffensive against Russian forces. But Chancellor Olaf Scholz has so far been opposed to sending long-range weapons to Ukraine.
