Explosions could be seen in the Gaza Strip as the week-long truce between Israel and Hamas came to an end. The temporary truce ended on Friday morning; it initially lasted for four days and then was extended for several days with the help of mediators Qatar and Egypt. During the week-long truce, Hamas released more than 100 hostages in return for 240 freed Palestinians.
