The United Nations is warning that "anarchy" is spreading in Gaza as displaced Palestinians face an acute humanitarian crisis. UN officials say the lack of local law enforcement and basic supplies is leading to rampant looting, unlawful killings, and shootings. According to the Hamas-led Health Ministry in Gaza, the Israeli military has killed 39,100 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since the October 7 terrorist attacks. Israeli troops have been deployed to Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip as part of a week-long operation involving airstrikes, which the IDF says is meant to drive out Hamas militants.
