Oliver Dowden, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, says Sir Gavin Williamson should not have sent abusive messages to the chief whip in a row over invitations to the Queen's funeral.

It's alleged Sir Gavin sent abusive texts to Wendy Morton complaining that he and other colleagues had been excluded from the Queen's funeral for political reasons.

Sir Jake Berry, the former chairman of the Conservative Party, claims he told prime minister Rishi Sunak a bullying complaint had been made against Mr Williamson days before he appointed him to the new cabinet.
