Food prices are spiking and everyone is looking for solutions. Our global food system has evolved to ensure that our families are fed fruits and vegetables, no matter the weather in Canada. But our supply chains are under threat.

Labour shortages and climate change are posing unprecedented challenges to farmers and with the world's population expected to climb to 10 billion by 2050, we'll need to produce more food–not less.

This problem has sparked a major wave of innovation in food production– in vertical farming and in cellular agriculture, which creates animal protein without the animals.
